October month marks the first anniversary of Aurora Business Group.
One year ago, I started Aurora Business Group with a very personal purpose: to take what I learned from building a company, preparing my management team for ownership, and ultimately selling the business to that team—and use that experience to help other founders do the same.
Over this first year, our mission has become even clearer:
Help business owners prepare their companies, their people, and themselves for a successful transition to the next generation of owners.
For me, succession planning is about much more than completing a transaction. It is about preserving what an entrepreneur spent decades building—employees, customer relationships, knowledge, culture, and legacy—while creating an opportunity for the people who helped build the company to become owners themselves.
As we celebrate our first year, I am especially grateful that Aurora Business Group was recognized during Howard County Business Appreciation Week 2026 for our contribution to the economic vitality of Howard County. It is a meaningful milestone for a young company and an encouraging beginning to our second year.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Aurora Business Group during this first year.
Year One was about building the foundation.
Year Two is about expanding the impact.
At Aurora Business Group, our message remains simple:
You don’t just hand off ownership—you prepare people to earn it.
Aurora Business Group
We help you sell your company to your employees.
